Akasia Study Help Centre Extra classes in All School Subjects for Grade R to Grade 12

We care about the growth and development of the children in our community.

Our approach to Learning:

We found that many children struggle with basic concepts therefore we apply a “Back to Basics” concept, following the official CAPS curriculum of the Gauteng Department of Education.

We treat each child according to his or her ability, helping them reach their full potential.

We follow a learner-centred approach focusing on problem areas and help children to excel in their grades.

We value a tutorial partnership where learner and tutor respect each other.

We value the contributions learners, volunteers and partners make in the learning experience.

Curriculum:

We follow the CAPS program (Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement) as developed by the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) and Department of Basic Education (DBE).
Integrated into this program are the positive elements of the old outcome based program as well as advice from various Grade 1 teachers and early childhood development role players.
All the above was simplified to be relevant to all age groups.

Subjects:

We focus on providing study help with the following school subjects for Grade R to Grade 12 learners:

Afrikaans (First Language and Second Language)
English (First Language and Second Language)
Maths
And every other school given subjects

We Provide:

Weekly One Hour lessons
Additional One Hour lessons on request

We treat each child according to his or her ability, helping them reach their full potential.

Online Tutoring Classes

Introduction

Akasia Study help now offers online tutoring classes to students of all ages and every subject. In the online option students will have the ability of being taught in the comfort of their own home via laptop.

ASH Online will be available throughout the year except for end of year holidays. Assisting our students with qualified online tutors whenever they need them.

Terms and Conditions

Lessons will be 50 to 55 minute lessons.

4 lessons a month. (1 lesson every week).

8 lessons a month. (2 lessons every week).

If children are absent from lessons, no time will be worked in.

Fees are payable in advance. EFT or card payments can be done at reception.

Lesson times: weekday afternoons, and Saturday mornings.

If learner attends lessons for more than 1 week without payment, lessons will be terminated.

We will be closed on public holidays.

A specific time will be allocated to a learner, you are not allowed to move these times, you will not be compensated if your child do not attend lessons.
